The main center for propagation of Shrutismriti Siddha Vishishtadwait Darshan in North India is Shri Ranga Mandir located in Shridham Vrindavan. This divine country (temple) was established in Samvat 1604 by Parampujya Anant Sri Vibhushit Srirangadeshik Swami Ji Maharaj (Goverdhan Peethadhishwar). His learned disciples Sri Sudarshanacharya, Sri Lakshmanacharya, Sri Govind Das etc. requested Maharaj Shree that the memory of Guru Mataji Sri Lakshmi Amba should always remain and the good people should always get Shruti Dugdhaamrit, for this a Sanskriti Samunnayak Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya should be established in the name of Guru Mataji. On getting the permission of Shri Swamiji Maharaj, Shri Rangalakshmi Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya was established in Vikram Samvat 1606. This college is admitted in the Adarsh Scheme of the Government of India from 01.07.1978. Earlier the college was aided by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and operated. First the classes of Government Sanskrit College, Varanasi, then the classes of Varanasi Sanskrit University, Varanasi, and at present also the classes of Shastri and Acharya of Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi are being conducted.

In this way, for 174 years, this college is continuously engaged in the promotion of Sanskrit culture and philosophy. Many distinguished scholars have contributed to the growth of this college while serving as the Principal (Principal) of the college. In these Shri Sudarshanacharya Shastriji Maharaj, Shri Garudhwajacharya ji. Mr. Amolkaramji Shastri, Mr. Sitaramacharyaji, Mr. Ramlakhanji Pandey, Mr. Ramadarshji Pandey (during his tenure the Government of India admitted the college in Adarsh Scheme), Dr. Murari Lalji Chaturvedi and Dr. Ramkripal Tripathiji also became principal of the college. In the middle of this long interval, the great personalities who worked on the post of acting principal are – ShriRasbihari Lalji Goswami, Shrisadashivji Shastri, Shrihiralalji Shastri, Dr. Prangopalacharyaji, Acharya Ramsudarshan Mishraji, etc. At present Dr. Anilanandji is the acting principal. Getting the job done.

With the blessings of Lord Sri Godarangmannar bhagwan under the blessings of Anant Sri Vibhushit Swami Sri Goverdhan Rangacharyaji Maharaj Govardhan Peethadhishwar, the present President of Sri Rang Mandir Trust Board, this college is continuously progressing towards its goal at the present time.
The college has got permanent recognition from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi for the subjects Nyaya, Vyakarana, Vedanta and Sahitya.
